Blessing and Rolling Over

Here is miss Addison in her cute little blessing dress. Libby found a website that had clearance dresses and I got this one for $8. Great deal.. they said there was a flaw in the fabric but I looked it over and could not see anything wrong with it.. what a steal. Thanks Libby!!
Yesterday we blessed Addison in church! My family was able to be there and his as well even though they are not members of our church. We also had some non member friends there as well. Matt did a wonderful job and I was very proud of him. He was pretty nervous since he's only been a member of our church for 2 years but he did so great! Addison also did great.. she just looked around no crying which I was very happy about. Matt and I took the opportunity to bear our testimonies since our families and friends were all there. After sacrament meeting we went to the park to have a brunch.. it turned out to be a very windy day but the kids all had fun playing! Thank you to my sisters and mom for helping with brunch! It turned out so good.

The other night I was on the phone with my mom telling her the funny story about how Addison pooped in my hand while the missionaries were over and Addison was laying on the floor. I was watching her and telling my mom and while I was talking Addison rolled over. She has been rolling to her side and trying so hard but kept getting stuck on her arm but that night she rolled over! I was so excited! I got the video camera out to see if she would do it again and sure enough she did! She has not done it since but I'm such a proud mommy!! We'll keep working on it!

What we've been up to...

Smiles!! Here is the best picture I could get of her smile! Addison is smiling a lot now!! She is also starting to coo and make other cute little noises! We are having so much fun watching her little personality!! She absolutely loves to take baths. We can always get her to smile in the tub!
Firegirl to the rescue!! Matt is a cubscout leader for our ward and this week they had a fireman come to talk to them! He brought home this hat and I couldn't resist trying it on Addison!

Just hanging out with mom!! I am spending as much time with Addison as I can since I will be going back to work on April 6th. I am looking forward to getting back into the routine but sad to leave my baby! At least she will be in good hands while I'm gone... daddys! Matt stays home and watches his friends children so she will stay with him!

Soccer games!! This is Matt's little sister Shelby. She plays soccer for her high school team so we made Addison a onesie that said Go #23 and went to support her. They won the game and we had such a fun time watching!

Grandma's House!! Addison and I stayed the night at Grandma and Grandpa Tolman's house last weekend! We had such a fun time with family and Addison's crazy cousins!! Here she is in the bumbo Libby let us use! She is still not quite ready to sit in it but hopefully soon!

One Month Old

So our little girl is now one month old! Hard to believe it's already been a month. Now I know how every other mother feels when she says they grow up fast!! I'm trying to enjoy every second I have with her since I will be going back to work in 3 1/2 weeks. I'm not looking forward to that! Yesterday Addison had her one month check up and she now weighs 10 pounds and is 22 inches long!! Needless to say, she loves to eat!! She also loves taking baths and playing with daddy. She is such a strong girl and definitely knows what she wants. We are planning on blessing her the end of this month and are looking forward to that!

Some things I love...

I love after Addison gets her bath. She smells so clean and her skin is so soft. I could just kiss her forever!!

I love the little face she makes when she makes an o with her lips.. so cute!

I love watching her sleep even though I should be catching up on my sleep as well!

I love her little grunts when I move her around too much.

I'm sure I could go on forever, but I am so grateful that I have been given the opportunity to raise such a beautiful little girl! I am so lucky that she is healthy and she is a great baby!!

Life as a new mom..

Well things are going pretty well. We are sleep deprived but loving every minute with our baby girl. She is still a little out of whack with her sleeping so we are trying to get her on a better schedule. My mom came and helped out last weekend which was a BIG relief. Addison continues to get bigger every day. She went to the dr. this week and she gained almost all her weight back and weighed 8 lbs 12 oz.

Addison Ann

Well she made it!! Addison Ann Nelson was born February 8th 2009 at 6:05 am via C-section. 8 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long.. BIG baby!! I awoke early Sunday morning to my water breaking and when I went to the bathroom it was greenish/brown. I called the hosptial and they said to come in to be checked. She had her first stool in the womb hence the discoloration. When we got there the nurse checked me and said something didn't feel quite right. Whatever it was she was feeling was squishy, not like a head should be. I was already dialated to a 3/4. After another nurse checked me they had the Dr come in to do an ultrasound which confirmed our baby girl was breach. Last time the dr. checked me she was not so she must have turned sometime in the last few weeks?!? The Dr. informed Matt and I that I would need to have a c-section. Needless to say we were both very nervous. Everything turned out fine though and I could not believe it when they told me she was 8 lbs 13 oz. How was she fitting in my stomach? After being in the hospital for 4 days we arrived home yesterday. Everything seems to be going ok. Didn't get much sleep last night. Miss Addison thinks its time to play at night. Hopefully we can get on a better routine soon! Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. We love her so much and are looking forward to everything to come!!
