Spaghetti fun

We had spaghetti for dinner last night and decided to let Addison try to feed herself. What a fun time!
This is how she ended up eating after trying the fork and not having much luck.

Needless to say she ended up with spaghetti ALL OVER!! We went straight to the bath but at least she had fun trying.

She has been talking so much now. Her newest thing is "oh cool". She is too funny! We spent the week at grandma and grandpa Tolman's and had a fun week minus getting a stomach bug and passing it to poor grandma and grandpa and aunts and cousins. SORRY GUYS!!

Here is little man. He is getting so big. Very tall and is getting chunky which I LOVE. He is smiling all the time, starting to laugh and roll over. He loves to be cuddled and loves to play with his toy on his back. He is such a sweet little guy and Addison can not stop touching him, kissing him, and laying on him. We have to watch her constantly!

Mothers Day

I have been blessed in my life to be a mother. I absolutely love my children and love being a mom. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to care for my 2 little darlings.
I have also been EXTREMELY blessed with the best mom in the world. My mom is always there for all her children and always helping out. She has taught me so much and I love her very much! Hope everyone had a great mothers day!

Two little monkeys...

Here are some recent pictures. I have gone back to work and am busier than ever and that is why there are no recent blogs. Addison continues to grow every day. She is such a smart little thing.. she now can tell you what a monkey, snake, and cow say. Her new thing is trying to copy what we tell her. Tonight at dinner with my family I asked her if she wanted some ice cream and she replied, "Ice cream". She's such a fun girl! Austin is getting bigger every day as well. He is smiling and starting to laugh. He LOVES his big sister and she makes him laugh all the time and she never even has to try. Last week we took them both to the dr. for shots.. what a fun day. Their stats are as follows: Addison is 26 lbs and 33 inches. Austin is 11 lbs 13 oz and 23 inches. BIG kids!! :) Hope everyones spring is going well!!


A friend of the family made Austin this adorable tie onesie. If anyone is interested she has the cutest onesies, bibs, blankets, all sorts of cute baby stuff. Let me know if you want her information.

Here is a few pictures from the craziness that we call life! I am lucky these days to get a shower and everyone dressed for the day. But I'm so happy and couldn't ask for more!

Here is my little helper trying to "help" her little brother with his blanket. He didn't want it on anyway! :)

And here is the little guy.. he's starting to get more aware and look at me. He even has attempted to smile so I'm waiting for that!! Last night he also rolled over from his tummy to back. Yesterday we had his one month check up and he now weighs 9 lbs 1 oz and is 21 1/2 inches long. Addison was almost that big at birth. I have a feeling she is going to be the bully in or family!! Matt always says she's going to be a linebacker and Austin is going to be our little piano player!! :)

Addison will probably hate me for posting this someday.. but I thought it was too cute! She has done pretty well entertaining herself when Matt is gone and I am busy with Austin. As you can tell from the picture I'm lucky if I get everyone dressed for the day.. these days I pick my battles and I didn't want to fight with her to put her shirt back on!

Addison checking out her little brother. She is pretty good with him. She just wants to kiss him all the time which usually ends up with him having a huge wet spot on his head. Poor guy!
And here is one to show that Matt does still live here too! :) He has been very busy with his business. We are very grateful for that!! It is hard taking care of both kids by myself but it's nice that his business has picked up!

Introducing.. Austin Matthew

Austin Matthew Nelson made his arrival on Feb. 16th at 12:23 PM. He weighed 7 lbs 12.8oz and was 21 inches long. He has LOTS of dark hair and is cute as can be. The surgery went well.. not a pleasant experience but worth it to have our little guy here. Addison spent a few days with grandma and grandpa Tolman and had a blast. She loved being outside and playing with all her cousins. She is having kind of a hard time adjusting to her little brother. She is not sure who this kid thinks he is taking her mom all the time. She does give him kisses and is interested when he cries but we have to watch her very closely.. she is a little too rough for my liking. We are having our ups and downs adjusting to two... which is to be expected. But I keep telling myself it will get better and to take it day by day. Sometimes I just have to laugh when they are both crying for me at the same time or they both pooped at the same time. Luckily Matt has been here most of the time to help and when he's not here my family has really stepped up and helped me out. Thank you to my family for all the help!!

Birthday pictures and update

Addison's birthday party was a success!! She had a lot of family and friends there to help her celebrate and got lots of cute clothes.. Just what she needed!! She seemed to have a fun time and absolutely loved digging into her cake. Thank you to all our family and friends who helped make her day so special.. As for baby boy I have been moved up to have my c-section this Tuesday the 16th!! I went to the dr for my appointment and she just happened to "notice" that my ultrasounds put my due date sooner than we had thought. Just to be safe and since she anticipates he could be a big baby she decided to move me up. I am excited to see the little guy and not be pregnant anymore, but anxious. I had planned on doing so much this next week to prepare and have had to condense it to this weekend. I am a little anxious about the surgery and about Addison being away from us for a few days but she will be in good hands with Grandma and Grandpa and all her many cousins and aunt and uncles. I'm sure she won't even miss us! :) So here are some pictures of the party for you to enjoy and next time I post we will have pictures of our little guy!! Happy Valentines Day everyone!

One year old

Today our sweet little Addison is one year old! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. This morning she woke up around 5:30.. I thought how nice of her to remind me of last year at this time when she was being born. She was born at 6:05 AM... Luckily she went back to sleep with me in the recliner until 9!! We took her to the zoo today for the first time and she seemed to enjoy all the animals. It was a little hard for her to see some of them but she especially loved the giraffe and the birds that made noise. While we were looking at the giraffe I told her they live where Uncle JoJo is and she responed with, "Jo Jo". I was so excited she said my little brothers name. He is in Africa on his mission. So we got the video camera out and got her to say it again for documentation for him!! She is such a fun girl. Here are a few things she enjoys right now:

She loves to climb on anything and everything. Her activity table, her walker, the couch.. you name it she climbs it. Sometimes she amazes me when I find her on top of something I thought she would never get onto. She is so determined and finds a way to get what she wants.

She loves to wrestle and fight with her dad. He will play fight with her and wrestle with her and sometimes I think he is being too rough but she LOVES it.. she laughs and giggles. She also loves to fight back.. only bad thing is she likes to fight other people now too. We need to help her learn when is ok to fight and when we need to be nice.

She loves kitties and dogs. We have a little teacup chihuahua (sp?) and Addison chases her all around the house. Our poor dog, Addison is way bigger than her and is a little rough. She has learned to say kitty and doggie.

She still loves to dance everytime she hears music. Her favorite is still the Black Eyed Peas, but she also likes the Wiggles now and MC Hammer, Can't Touch This. This girl is going to be a dancer!!

We love her so much and are so fortunate to be her parents. I can't wait to see what the next year brings with her becoming a big sister!! Two weeks from tomorrow! Here are some pictures from the last year for you to enjoy and watch how she has grown!!
